Location

Duration

12 months, with potential for extension

About the Role

Job Description

Growth Marketing Engineer to provide dedicated engineering support for Client Subscriptions consumer marketing initiatives. The position entails developing and maintaining the technical infrastructure supporting acquisition and retention campaigns as marketing investments expand from exploratory testing to multi-million-dollar programs. This role is project-based and campaign-driven, requiring close collaboration with marketing leads and existing engineering stakeholders rather than direct ownership of a specific product surface.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain deep links for paid campaigns, influencer attribution, referrals, and off-platform channels, incorporating optimized targeted routing solutions.

Construct custom audience data tables derived from cross-app user behavioral metrics and integrate them with advertising platform infrastructure.

Implement and maintain conversion tracking mechanisms (advertising pixels) within user onboarding flows to enable real-time campaign optimization based on funnel behavior.

Support targeted marketing email initiatives by mapping user behavioral signals into defined audience parameters.

Execute end-to-end growth and promotional experimentation.

Key Required Competencies

Deep Linking and Mobile Attribution

Expertise in developing and managing campaign links across web and mobile applications.

SQL and Data Pipelines

Proficiency in constructing audience segmentation tables from complex behavioral datasets.

Advertising Platform Integration

Proficiency with conversion pixels, custom audience integrations, and campaign tracking architectures.

Backend or Full-Stack Engineering

Demonstrated skill in Python alongside Hack/PHP, Java, or JavaScript.

A/B Testing and Experimentation Frameworks:

Experience in designing, executing, and evaluating growth experiments.

Minimum Years of Experience

5+

Must-Have Skills

Deeplinking, campaign tracking and attribution at consumer scale (App Links / Universal Links, iOS/Android/web, URL parameter taxonomies, click-to-conversion attribution)

Marketing data and audience engineering – strong SQL, behavioral signal tables, scheduled pipelines, syncing custom audiences into an ads platform or CDP

Growth marketing platform engineering with a proven track record partnering directly with marketing teams

Nice-to-Have Skills

Lifecycle messaging and personalization – marketing automation platform integration (SFMC, Braze, Iterable or equivalent), journey/trigger config, API-driven personalization

Email marketing with ML propensity and personalization layers

Big-tech / large consumer-platform background; dashboarding and self-serve tooling for non-engineers

Degrees/Certifications:

N/A

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Own and evolve the deeplink layer for influencer, paid, off-platform and referral campaigns; move from one-off links to a standardized link registry with attribution instrumentation

Build and maintain custom audiences from cross-app behavioral data and push them into the ads platform; move manual builds to scheduled, monitored refreshes

Support onboarding and lifecycle growth across email, notifications and in-product placements; integrate personalization APIs and ML propensity signals

Productize and dashboard: self-serve paths so marketers can operate without engineering in the loop, plus delivery-funnel, link-health and incrementality reporting

About the Team

Growth marketing for subscriptions, spanning engineering, marketing and product. Fast-moving and campaign-driven, with periodic high-intensity launch windows.

Are there any types of candidate profiles or skills that may not be the right fit for this team?

Candidates looking for a deeply technical or pure software engineering role; front-end-focused engineers; anyone who wants distance from marketing stakeholders. This is platform engineering in service of marketing, not core product engineering.

Are there any immediate disqualifiers or red flags that stand out?

No experience partnering with marketing teams

No hands-on deeplinking, attribution or campaign tracking

Weak SQL

Unable to work normal US hours during launch periods

Seeking a heavily technical or front-end role

Interview Process
