Our client in the Wellness space is hiring a Director of Growth Marketing & Paid Acquisition!
The Role
The Director of Growth Marketing & Paid Acquisition is a key player of the performance engine behind our company’s DTC growth. You own paid media strategy, budget allocation, and day-to-day execution across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging channels — and you are accountable for hitting aggressive new-customer revenue and efficiency targets.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics and creative. The single most important thing you will do is run a tight feedback loop between paid-media performance and our creative team — diagnosing why winning ads win, turning those insights into a concept queue we can scale, and killing what isn’t working with the same discipline. We’re looking for a hybrid operator: rigorously analytical, creatively literate, and able to translate data into briefs that creators can actually execute against. You’ll partner closely with the CEO, CMO, Sr. Director of Ecommerce, and creative / media buying teams.
What You’ll Own
1. Creative–Performance Feedback Loop
- Run a daily, agile flywheel between paid media and the creative team to improve our customer acquisition.
- Diagnose why winning creative is winning. Is it the hook, the creator, the angle, the format, the offer? Translate not just insights, but directive to produce more of what’s working.
- Apply the same rigor to losing creative. Identify the failure point, document the lesson, and cut the next test accordingly. Kill speed matters as much as scale speed.
- Review and approve creative briefs, final videos, statics, and influencer content daily; bring new angles, hooks, and concepts into the queue rather than waiting for them.
- Guide influencer and creator strategy based on what is actually converting in-platform — not just what looks good in a shotlist.
2. Paid Media Strategy & Channel P&L
- Own daily and weekly budget allocation across Meta (IG/FB), TikTok, Google PPC and Shopping, and emerging channels (YouTube, podcasts, affiliate, etc.).
- Hit aggressive new-customer revenue, aMER, CAC, and ROAS targets while scaling spend.
- Translate monthly business goals into media plans with clear pacing, forecasts, and scale-vs-kill criteria for every test.
- Act as the strategic owner of Meta and Google performance — campaign structure, bidding strategies, account consolidation, ad copy, sitelinks, and optimization frameworks.
- Always have a pulse on DTC acquisition trends, platform changes, and emerging channels; bring structured tests for the ones worth running.
3. Measurement, Testing & CRO
- Build and evolve our media measurement stack and decide which tools earn their keep.
- Differentiate top-of-funnel brand spend from bottom-of-funnel direct response so each is measured against the right objective.
- Build the testing roadmap across creatives, hooks, offers, audiences, and landing pages.
- Partner with the Sr. Director of Ecommerce on the CRO roadmap — prioritize tests, define hypotheses, review results — and ensure paid-media learnings flow into on-site optimization.
- Own the dashboards and weekly reporting that give leadership visibility into channel performance and unit economics.
4. Agency & Team Leadership
- Primary owner of our agency relationships. Set goals, run weekly check-ins, hold partners accountable to CPA and scale targets, and replace when needed.
- Manage our internal Creative Strategist and Influencer leads.
- Bring channel intelligence back into product positioning, assortment, calendar, and offer planning.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of in-house paid acquisition experience at a DTC or consumer brand, with a track record of scaling Meta and Google profitably.
- Ideally, prior background in management consulting, investment banking, or another structured analytical environment.
- Hands-on expertise across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and Amazon Ads — comfortable in the platforms, not just managing the people who are.
- Fluency in attribution and measurement
- Strong creative instincts and the ability to write a brief. You can articulate what made an ad work, and what should be tested next.
- Robust marketing-finance literacy: you understand how ROAS, CAC, LTV, payback, & contribution margin translate to the P&L, and can defend a media plan to a CFO.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field.
Who You Are
- A hybrid operator. Equally credible in a spreadsheet and a creative review. You can read a cohort curve and write a hook.
- Hungry to drive the car. You are the engine of growth, not a passenger.
- Extreme ownership. No task is too big or too small. You move quickly from analysis to execution.
- Comfortable without scaffolding. You thrive in a fast-paced, output-oriented environment where structure is not always a given.
- Direct and collaborative. You communicate cleanly, push back where it matters, and earn trust across functions
