The Acquisition Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the execution of strategies designed to attract new sponsors and donors to Unbound. This individual will manage a variety of marketing and communication initiatives with the goals of building brand awareness among new audiences, developing and nurturing leads to the point of conversion, and ultimately acquiring new sponsors and donors. The position will be responsible for the development of lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns, coordination of digital advertising efforts, and representing the public voice of Unbound and the sponsored members and their families as they deliver upon key messages in outreach efforts.
Working in a team environment, the Acquisition Marketing Specialist must be able to communicate enthusiasm for the work we do and be persuasive in their approach. This individual will work closely with other members of the marketing and communications team on the conceptualization, execution, and tracking of targeted acquisition efforts.
Key to this position is the ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, track deadlines, suggest and implement process improvements, and meet deadlines. This position reports to the Marketing Director and will support that role in the execution of key strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement lead generation campaigns to attract new sponsors and donors to Unbound.
- Cultivate and nurture new leads through compelling email and remarketing advertising campaigns.
- Liaise between Unbound and any external media buying agencies, advising the internal marketing team on campaign setup, results, and creative assets requested by media buyers.
- Maintain Unbound’s lead database ensuring high engagement and activity with leads.
- Collaborate with Unbound’s internal teams and the Insights and Innovation group to track test plans and CPL for each test audience and offer.
- Contribute to and consult on all aspects of email communication strategy for acquisition marketing efforts, including content creation and design, scheduling, review, and tracking of results.
- Coordinate logistics and support of sponsored conferences or events in an effort to acquire new audiences.
- Assist in the training and development of department members on marketing platforms and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including presentation support, travel to the field for content collection and Awareness Trip support on an as-needed basis, and other tasks consistent with the mission of Unbound as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, New Media, or a related field; or equivalent related experience and/or training in a professional capacity.
- Minimum two (2) years of direct hands-on experience in digital marketing, lead generation, or acquisition marketing.
- Proficiency in email marketing and marketing automation technology.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and digital advertising analytics tools.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities, and to deliver on time and within budget.
- Effective problem solver with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working within a team setting and able to take direction from a variety of project stakeholders.
- High aptitude for utilizing and applying new and existing technologies (CRM, websites, email service platforms, content management systems, digital asset managers, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Professional attitude and work habits; possess a positive attitude and be open to new ideas.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector with primary concentrations in marketing or donor services is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English or other relevant languages is a plus but not required.
